Jeanette Reasner is the founder and lead writer of Second Spring Club. She started noticing the changes in her mid-40s — the 3am wake-ups, the sudden temperature spikes, the way her favorite sheets stopped working — and quickly found that most of the perimenopause content online was either too clinical to be useful or too vague to trust.
She built this site to be the one she wanted when she started asking questions herself: specific, honest, and willing to say when a product isn’t worth the money. Every product featured on Second Spring Club is tested in her own home for at least thirty nights before it earns a “we recommend” tag. She reads the primary research, names the brands that hike prices quietly, and tells readers when the answer is “skip it” or “ask your doctor first.”
Jeanette writes from both lived experience and years of research, and she says which is which. She isn’t a doctor, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Second Spring Club is journalism, research, and first-hand testing — applied to the products and decisions you’re navigating in your own body’s next chapter.
When she isn’t writing or testing cooling sheets, she reads everything she can about sleep physiology, talks to other women navigating the same phase, and answers every reader email personally.
